General Cub Scout Information

Since 1930, the Boy Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three membership divisions.

Pack Information

Pack 135 has weekly den meetings every Wednesday night at Upper Octorara Presbyterian Church from 7:00pm to 8:15pm. Den nights are a time when your scout will be learning new things while having fun with boys his age. (Parents are encouraged to attend den meetings and work with their scout) We also have a monthly Pack night held at Sandy Hill Community Church from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm. Pack nights are a time when your whole family is invited to attend, enjoy snacks, drinks, meet with other families, and watch the scouts receive recognition for what they have achieved both at home and in their dens. (Parents are required to attend Pack nights).

Pack Activities

We offer many different activities throughout the year including: Pinewood Derby, Camping, Bowling, Fishing, Blue and Gold Banquet, Field trips We are always open to new ideas for field trips and activities.

Pack Rules
|
|
Scouts are required to learn and abide by the following rules:
- Den books are to brought to all den meetings
- When a leader or another scout is talking, you are not.
- Adhere to uniform requirements (See below)

Uniform Requirements
|
|
On pack nights, Scouts are required to wear a blue (Tan for Webelos) Cub Scout shirt displaying the county patch & pack number, and a neckerchief with a slide showing their rank.
On den nights, Cub Scouts are required to wear either a Pack 135 shirt, or a blue Cub Scout shirt. No neckerchief or slide is required.
(Your Den Leader or store personnel can assist you. Buy a larger shirt so that it will last 2-3 years)
